We Are All One Body
Jangaru village outreach
In 2019 in Southern Colorado a mission was started to support the people of a poor village in Nigeria called Jangaru.
Jangaru has a population of 500-550 inhabitants of the Gbagi tribe. 90% of the population of Jangaru are Catholics. Because of their resistance to embrace Islam, they suffer from basic social needs.
Our mission is to help improve the quality of life and health of Jangaru residents by helping them with their present needs of water and education. Our first project in Jangaru (which was completed in 2019) was the implementation of a deep water well to provide year-round clean water for the Jangaru community. In 2020 the Jangaru education project was started. In February 2022 the first school building was opened. We are currently working on the construction of the second school building. The mission is now being supported by people of all faiths in the Spanish Peaks Region of Colorado as well as donors from other locations in the US.
